Timothy J. Eiden - Partner

Timothy J. Eiden

There are many ways to serve a client, but using a cookie-cutter approach is not one of them, according to HDBOB partner Timothy J. Eiden. Tim’s overriding concern is that each client receives value through efficiency. He delivers that by analyzing each case individually, determining what needs to be done to further the interests of his client, and doing exactly that––an approach his clients appreciate. Tim’s practice areas include civil litigation, personal injury, and insurance defense. Tim also serves as an arbitrator at the request of other lawyers. He has offices in Minnesota and Menomonie, Wisconsin, where he resides. He works on everything from auto accident cases to business litigation, and is regarded as an authority on Minnesota no-fault law, frequently speaking to groups of lawyers and insurers on the topic.

Tim received his B.A., cum laude, from Gustavus Adolphus College and his J.D., cum laude, from William Mitchell College of Law. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Minnesota and Wisconsin. Tim is a member of the Ramsey County Bar Association, for which he served a chair of the Young Lawyers Section, the Minnesota State Bar Association, where he served on the Court Rules Committee and was chair of the Civil Litigation Section, the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Defense Research Institute.

Tim’s ability to be the consummate team player and score repeat successes for his clients might have something to do with his experiences as an athlete. He grew up in an athletic family and put himself through college by giving ski lessons and teaching tennis at an outdoor tennis club he operated. He still skis and enjoys most spectator sports, particularly the ones in which his three children are active.

A leader as well as a team player, Tim has also served in a variety of leadership positions, acting as president of his college alumni association and president of the local chapter of the United Way. Tim recently completed his term as President of the local Chamber of Commerce.
